The SE4-42A "WEIR KLEANER" Brush System is a patented, designed and constructed to clean algae and debris from the area between the outside scum baffle ring and inside weir plate, effluent weir, spillway, inside/outside launder walls, and trough floor of a circular clarifier. The "WEIR KLEANER" Brush System is designed to work off the power of the clarifier drive motor by attaching the system to the existing clarifier skimmer arm assembly. The "WEIR KLEANER" Brush System consists of a mounting attachment, a mainframe member, the saddle brush assembly, the agitating brush, and the wall brush assembly. Attached to the saddle brush assembly is an agitating brush to break up floating algae and debris between the outside baffle ring and the inside weir. The saddle brush assembly is designed to straddle the weir, thus cleaning the inside/outside surface of the weir, which is also connected to the mainframe by means of a weir arm. Should there be a need for angled spillway surface brush, it is attached to the inner wall brush assembly. Since the angle of the spillway wall is never exact, the angled spillway brush can only clean the surface it makes contact with. The wall brush assembly is also connected to the mainframe arm, purpose being to clean the inside/outside walls and trough floor. All components of the system are constructed of 6061 T6 marine grade aluminum and come with a five-year warranty against defect, exception being brushes, which have a one-year warranty. The brushes are special made for longevity, thus eliminating the need to disengage the system.

The purpose of the SE4-42A "WEIR KLEANER" Brush System is to clean the area between the baffle and weir of floating algae patties and stringers, to eliminate "short circuiting" caused by blockage of weir notches by algae and debris, and to eliminate algae build up on the side of the walls, results being a uniform flow through the weirs at all times with a clear secondary effluent.
